Returns Policy

4×4 gear accessories  wants you to be totally satisfied with the products you purchase on our website or in-store. If you have any concerns about the products you have purchased from us, please read our returns policy below on when we will accept returns and how to make a return.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

When can you return a product?

4×4 gear accessories does not accept returns under this policy for change of mind or custom orders.

4×4 gear accessories will only accept returns, and provide a replacement, repair or refund at 4×4 gear accessories discretion, where:

  • The product is faulty; or

4×4 gear accessories  may need to conduct an assessment of your product to determine whether a repair, replacement or refund is appropriate (if at all). Where an express manufacturer’s warranty applies, or in the case of certain technical products (such as electrical and motor driven products), 4×4 gear accessories may need to send the product to the manufacturer, or their repair agent, for assessment before we can determine the outcome of your claim.

We note that where products have been presented for repair, 4×4 gear accessories may:

  • replace it with refurbished products of the same type rather than repairing the product; or
  • repair the product using refurbished parts.

Where to return a product

For products purchased online: please return it to 4×4 gear accessories 69 Waratah Street Kirrawee NSW 2232.

For products purchased in-store: please take it to the  4×4 gear accessories sales department in the store you purchased it from.

For safety reasons, please contact 4×4 gear accessories before returning any bulky products, such as bull bars, tow bars and canopies.

What information must you provide to complete your return?

In order to assess and process your return, you will need to:

  • provide a copy of the purchase receipt
  • hand back product you purchased which must be in the same condition as it was purchased, including all manuals, accessories and packaging
  • provide us with your name, telephone number, email and signature

All purchases made on a debit or credit card will be credited back to the original card used to make the purchase, so for in-store returns, please bring this card with you.

If you do not have a copy of your purchased receipt you can also demonstrate proof of purchase by providing us with a bank statement, email confirmation of the purchase, or similar, and also provide us with photo identification that shows your name, address and signature.

Back up of user-generated data

It is your responsibility to back up any user generated data before returning the product as we do not assume any responsibility for the loss of any data for returned products.

Who pays for the cost of returns?

All costs associated with returning a product under 4×4 gear accessories   Returns Policy, such as delivering or sending the product to us, removal of the product and / or replacement of the product, is the sole responsibility of the customer.

Additional fees that apply to returns

Any special orders and products that are non-stock items may incur:

  • a 15% return fee
  • a freight charge, which will depend on the item’s size and weight
  • a repackaging charge per item of:
    • $100.00 for bull bars
    • [$80] for tow bars
    • $200.00 for canopies
    • $30 for all other items

Special orders are orders that are special builds MTO Parts and Interstate Produced Items

Non-stock items are orders that will occur an additional return cost of 20%.

Delivery of goods

The delivery date in our order confirmation is an estimated delivery time only. We accept no responsibility for any delays in delivery or loss of items arising from events outside of our control.

Dispute Escalation

Changes

4×4 gear accessories has the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions at any time.
